Wansdyke Photos

The expected view of the Wansdyke on the naked Downs, this is taken at the top of Tan Hill.

But a couple of miles east it is wooded; the Wandsyke is overgrown with hazel and beech. Which is the more natural downland covering?

And of course I couldn't resist snapping another Sarsen Stone heap where they have been bulldozed near to Adam's Grave and Knap Hill.

Photos were taken on an excellent walk organised by the Stanton St Bernard History Group.
