These solstice celebrations at our megalithic sites never cease to amaze me. Whenever I've had a stone circle access visit to Stonehenge the security guards tell you, in no uncertain terms, that you cannot touch the stones, not even a gentle hug or a soft caress. But it seems at Stonehenge on the solstice you can do what you like and climb all over them while the security guards turn a blind eye.
Full credit to the guy in the last picture picking up the litter. If only the rest were like him and took home their 'ritual' litter home with them.
