Freedom
English Heritage didn't like me blogging about Stonehenge (amongst many other things they didn't like) so I have not been able to update this site properly for ages. But now I can, I just need to find the time to do so.
While it's going to be difficult thinking of the Pile without Tim Daw, I know that working for DizneyHenge, LLC comes at a heavy price; personal and professional.
But a breath of fresh air comes with every new beginning, so Godspeed, old friend -- move forward and never look in the rear-view mirror!
I'm sure you're pointing out the parch marks where the missing stones used to be really pissed EH off, enough so they splashed the news all over the world. Such gall on your part as a grunt to actually notice something as critical as this when none of their high-brow "professionals" even noticed. Shame on you for your personal interest in the monument and having the sheer cheek to blog about it on your own time. You leave a mature bureaucracy behind because you demonstrate the ability to find your ass with only one hand in a snowstorm, and this makes you an obviously undesireable employee.
Sadly my friend that sums up the mess that is archaeology these days.. unless you have a PhD or a lofty status within the organisation - your opinions don't count!! The wonderful thing about censorship... its that its futile in the internet age!!
It's a shame they were not supportive. Please carry on!
